Consent to Processing a Child’s Photos and Associated Personal Data

1. Consent text

I, as a user of https://taleown.com or an available official Taleown application, freely, of my own will and in my own interest, consent to the Operator processing the personal data and the child’s photos that I provide to create a personalized Book.

I confirm that I am the child’s parent or legal representative, or have sufficient consent to use the uploaded photograph and associated data to create the Book.

A photo is optional: it is processed only if I choose to upload it and separately confirm consent in the upload form. Creating a Book through the web interface also requires confirmation of acceptance of the legal terms.

2. Operator

The Operator is Sergey Sergeevich Kayukov (Каюков Сергей Сергеевич), a self-employed taxpayer under the professional income tax regime (NPD), Taxpayer Identification Number (INN) 772880246500. Contact for questions and withdrawal of consent: taleown@kayukov.com. Website: https://taleown.com.

3. Categories of data

The following may be processed under this consent:

• the child’s photo uploaded at my choice and photos of one or two companions where provided for by the selected mode; the number of photos and whether particular photos are required are shown in the form;
• the child’s name, age, gender, interests, additional character parameters, book parameters and story preferences entered by me;
• technical Book and order data, the customer’s email address, account details and technical identifiers needed to operate the library;
• illustrations, a cover, text and available Book files generated from the parameters and photos.

An email address is required for every Book in the web form. It is used for service messages, one-time-code access verification, recovery and a shared library across devices.

4. Processing purposes

A photo is used to create an artistic likeness of the child in a particular Book: its cover, illustrations, available preview and complete version. Associated data is used to create, store and provide the Book, access the library and provide support.

This consent is not a separate consent to publishing the source photo in examples or advertisements. The Operator does not publish such materials without separate consent.

Generation uses an AI gateway and external providers. Their actual retention terms and use of data for training have not been confirmed; this consent does not promise that providers will neither retain data nor use it for training.

5. Data processing operations

The Operator may collect, record, store, transform, optimize photo size, transfer data to technical generation infrastructure, use, anonymize, delete and destroy the data.

Processing may be automated and may involve transfer through an AI gateway to external infrastructure, including overseas infrastructure, to the extent necessary to create and provide the Book.

6. Photo retention and deletion

Source photos and other materials associated with a Book may be retained in the library until deletion together with completed text, illustrations and available files. Individual books can be deleted in the library; requests to delete an account and associated materials must be sent to taleown@kayukov.com.

Unassociated uploads may be selected for technical cleanup when older than 24 hours. Cleanup runs when the relevant server process starts and then approximately once an hour. This mechanism does not establish a fixed deletion period for photos associated with a Book or guarantee that all copies are deleted within 24 hours.

If book creation is interrupted or fails, materials may remain associated with the Book until it is deleted or the user’s request is handled. Processing periods and procedures are also described in the Privacy Policy at https://taleown.com/en/privacy/.

Automatic backup expiry has not yet been configured. Deletion from the library and active server storage does not guarantee immediate deletion of backup copies, previously downloaded files or copies held by external AI providers. Automatic deletion by providers has not been confirmed.

7. Disclosure to third parties

Photos and associated data may be shared with hosting, file storage and backup providers, email notification services, the AI gateway and AI infrastructure providers to the extent necessary to create the Book and operate the service. Such processing may take place outside the Russian Federation.

The Operator does not sell photos or provide them to third parties for independent use outside the purposes of operating the service. Technical providers’ retention, training and deletion rules may differ; no confirmed guarantees are available that they do not retain data or use it for training.

8. Duration of consent

Consent remains in effect until the processing purposes are achieved, applicable retention periods expire, the user withdraws consent or the service ceases operation. Materials associated with a Book are retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy and available deletion settings.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal was received.

9. Withdrawal of consent

The user may withdraw consent by emailing taleown@kayukov.com. It is helpful to include the account email address and the Book or order identifier. Verification of control over the email address may be required; passwords and one-time sign-in codes must not be sent.

After withdrawal, the Operator stops processing the data unless another legal basis permits continued processing or storage. Individual books can be deleted in the library; deletion of the entire account in the web version is requested by email.

Withdrawal of consent and deletion by Taleown do not mean that copies previously downloaded by the user are automatically deleted or that deletion by external providers is guaranteed.
